Where is Sahale Consulting Based?
We are based in Eugene, Oregon but our clients are global. Whether it's a short drive or a 9,000 mile commute, we work with our clients in whatever way works best.
Is There a Minimum Project Size?
No. We work on projects of all sizes. If project requirements exceed our immediate resources, we draw upon our network of global partners.
How Does Sahale Consulting Work With Clients?
We generally engage clients through a structured project contract over a fixed performance period. For projects requiring phasing, we do either new contracts or contract addenda for each phase, often with go/no go decisions between them.
Each project defines the general scope of work, milestones, deliverables, and payment schedule. As an independent contractor, Sahale Consulting bears the responsibility for defining how work is organized and executed, and ensuring deliverables meet client expectations and contract requirements.
How are payments structured?
Sahale Consulting typically invoices monthly. Milestone payments are invoiced at the end of the month the milestone is completed. Depending upon the nature of the project and the client requirements, a fixed percentage of the total contract amount may be held back from payment until the completion of the project.
Are References Available?
Of course - on request as part of engagement discussions!
So What Does Sahale Mean?
Sahale (sa ha' lee) Mountain, often referred to as Sahale Peak, is a sweet climb in North Cascades National Park near Cascade Pass. Various meanings have been ascribed to the Native American word, including "high place."
Alpine climbing is a great metaphor for many aspects of business. Preparation, defined goal, execution and some thought as to who is holding the other end of the rope. And when a goal is achieved, the team still has work to do, only half the climb is completed.
